Press Releases

Our attention has been drawn to a scanty sponsored protest by few youths claiming to be from Khana Local Government Area.

Ordinarily as a council we are not supposed to respond to these unknown youths, but for the sake of clarifying the public.

It is a known fact that the protest was masterminded by anti government elements, political jobbers and self seeking politicians that do not mean well for the growth and development of Khana people and the entire LGA.

The choice of chosen who becomes the next Chairman of council relies on the people and the CTC Chairman, Amb. Marvin Yobana has no hand in it.

It is also worthy of note that the CTC Chairman runs an open door policy and has never intimidated nor marginalized any youth of Khana LGA, talk less of using security agencies against them.

We call on the genuine youths of Khana to be peaceful, law abiding and support the government of Rivers State led by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, in order to deliver dividends of democracy to the good people of Khana LGA.

We also advised the general public to discountenance the malicious, falsehood orchestrated by these sponsored protest.
