…commends security agencies for their role in the protection of lives and properties
The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Khana Local Government Amb. Marvin Yobana has given a grant to the Nigeria Police Force for the remodeling of the Bori Police Station.
Amb. Marvin Yobana at the flagged off of the project in Bori, said his administration decided to embark on the remodeling of the Bori Police Station to appreciate the role of the security agencies are playing in providing the protection of lives and property in Khana Local Government.
“This constitutional duty of the Nigerian security forces cannot be overemphasized, we know that if Khana is not peaceful and there is no security in Khana nobody will leave there or do business in Khana Local Government,” he said.
Khana CTC Chairman also commended the Inspector General of Police and other sister agencies for their role in the protection of lives and property in Khana Local Government.
Marvin Yobana emphasized that his administration is partnering with the Nigerian Police Force in remodeling the Bori Police Station in a way that the entrance of the police station will not be directly in front of the road adding that it will help open the closed aspect of the road by so doing reduce accidents on the road.
Responding, the Bori Divisional Police Officer OKAULAWON FEMI said he is delighted and happy over the commitment of the administration of Marvin Yobana in his support for the security agencies in Khana.
He explained that the closure of the aspect of the road opposite the Police station has actually caused a lot of challenges that have resulted in the loss of lives.
OKAULAWON FEMI said the remodeling of the Bori Police Station and the distribution of security vehicles to security agencies in Khana by the Khana Council Boss will boost the morale of officers to be diligent on duty.
In his vote of thanks, a former lawmaker representing Khana Constituency Two in the Rivers State House of Assembly PRINCE NGBOR thanked Ambassador Marvin Yobana for his support towards security agencies that has resulted in the protection of lives and property in Khana Local Government.
