The Executive Chairman of Khana Local Government Area, Hon. Thomas Bariere, has approved the commencement of documentation for bursary payments to Khana students in tertiary institutions.
According to a statement from the council, the exercise is part of Bariere’s ongoing commitment to promoting education and empowering young people in the area.
All indigent students of Khana origin are advised to visit the Council Secretariat Office of the Special Adviser on Students Affairs beginning Monday, October 27, 2025, to obtain bursary forms free of charge.
Applicants are required to present the following documents (both original and photocopy): two recent passport photographs, admission letter, school identity card, voter’s card, and NUKS ID card.
The council described the bursary initiative as a demonstration of Dr. Bariere’s dedication to educational advancement, youth empowerment, and human capital development in Khana Local Government Area.
