Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has pledged to drive development and economic growth in Kalabari land through strategic projects, including the Trans-Kalabari Road.
Speaking during a solidarity visit by Kalabari monarchs, political leaders, and community members at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara emphasized his commitment to linking Kalabari to the state capital to enhance security and reduce living costs.
He noted that previous administrations avoided the Trans-Kalabari Road project due to high costs, but his government is steadily advancing the initiative. The Governor also addressed community requests, confirming the completion of the Emohua/Tema Junction Road and plans to inaugurate the Degema Zonal Hospital in May.
The Kalabari Ethnic Nationality endorsed Governor Fubara for a second term, citing his dedication to development in their region.
