The Rivers State Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Police Brutality has accused the legal team of the Police of deliberately delaying proceedings at the panel with its incessant request of adjournments.
Justice Chukwunenye Uriri (rtd), Chairman of the Commission disclosed this while addressing the Police legal team during one of its sitting in Port Harcourt.
“It is like you people are not organised or is it that you people are not serious? We have less than three works to go and each day you complain of not having your files,” Justice Uriri, queried the team.
The Police legal team has repeatedly claimed that it was not in possession of files of different matters mentioned for hearing during the panel’s sitting.
The antics by the legal team has made so many persons to believe that they are deliberately frustrating the process.
