The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to crime prevention, management, and control both in the state and beyond. He was awarded the prestigious Security and Safety Award in acknowledgment of his dedication to maintaining public safety.

The award presentation took place during a significant luncheon hosted by CP Adepoju and his management team for journalists, including crime correspondents and online media practitioners. The event was held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, and offered a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged engaging discussions and strengthened the relationship between the police and the media.

CP Adepoju expressed gratitude for the recognition, reaffirming his commitment to enhancing security measures and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure a safer Rivers State.

The event was attended by journalists and officers from the Rivers State Police Command, among others.
