A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt is expected to hear a case brought before it by the sacked MD of the NDDC, Joi Nunieh against the Inspector General of Police and the Department of State Services (DSS), Today.
Joy who is currently taking refuge at the Rivers State Government House, had approached the court to enforce her fundamental human rights. This is following the failed attempt of the Police to arrest her few days ago.
The Police had barricaded Nunieh’s residence to arrest her in an alleged attempt to stop her from appearing before the investigative panel of the House of Representatives.
Joy had earlier claimed to have gotten an injunction barring the Police and DSS from arresting her.
