LAGOS — Former Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and convener of the Lagos4Lagos movement, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 as inevitable, citing the administration’s ongoing reforms and growing support withtinubu’sll Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at a rally in the Ojo area of Lagos on Friday to mark his return to the APC, Adediran described Tinubu’s policy decisions as selfless and transformative. He officially resigned from the PDP on March 3, citing renewed conviction in the APC’s direction under Tinubu’s leadership.
Adediran praised the president’s removal of fuel subsidy, calling it a courageous move aimed at national progress rather than political gain. “Tinubu would have left the subsidy to remain just to seek a second term, but he chose what is best for Nigeria,” he said.
Highlighting what he called positive outcomes of Tinubu’s reforms and a wave of new party defections, Adediran said his current political mission is to mobilize support for the president’s second-term bid. “We will do everything humanly possible to ensure his return in 2027 to further reposition the country,” he affirmed.
