The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has begun registration for the 2026 Direct Entry admission into tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
In a statement, the board confirmed that the sale of Direct Entry forms is currently ongoing nationwide and advised qualified candidates to commence their registration without delay while strictly following the approved procedures.
According to JAMB, the registration window will remain open for a limited period before the portal is shut ahead of the next stage of the admission process.
The Direct Entry pathway is meant for applicants with higher qualifications such as diplomas, NCE, IJMB, or other equivalent certificates, enabling them to gain admission directly into the second year of university programmes without writing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The board emphasised that all applicants must register at accredited centres and ensure accurate submission of their personal information, including their National Identity Number (NIN), to avoid possible disqualification.
JAMB also cautioned candidates against engaging unauthorised agents, stressing that only approved centres are authorised to conduct the registration.
