Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has denied borrowing money to carryout projects in the state.
The governor, disclosed this during the flag-off ceremony for the construction of the Trans-Kalabari Road on Thursday.
He said people are saying that he is borrowing money to develop the state, and that it is better to borrow money for projects than to borrow and put in his pocket.
Wike, also explained that despite the numerous projects ongoing in the state, his administration is not owing any bank.
He furthermore, called on Local Government Chairmen and community leaders to ensure the safety of contractors in their respective areas.
