The Israeli Canbinet says the planned Israel-Hamas ceasefire will last a maximum of 10 days according to a report in the Times of Israel.
During the ceasefire up to 300 Palestinian prisoners are to be exchanged for up to 100 live hostages from Israel, After that, the fighting in the Gaza Strip is expected to continue.
The Israeli news website Ynet also reported that Israel intends to pass on the names of the hostages to Hamas.
Part of the agreement is also said to be that kidnapped mothers and children will not be separated upon release.
