The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has instructed political parties in the state to boycott the upcoming local government elections scheduled for August 31.
In a letter addressed to the parties, IPAC National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle, declared the planned elections illegal, stating that the Sole Administrator lacks the constitutional authority to conduct such polls.
However, the Secretary of IPAC in the state, Benjamin Ogbogbula, said the state chapter is still consulting with the national leadership to determine its final stance on the boycott directive.
