The Rivers State Government has reacted to claims from certain quarters that his administration is investing in the judiciary so as to gain favourable judgements from them.
The State Governor Nyesom Wike in a statement during the commissioning of a new customary court complex built by his administration yesterday, said the calims are baseless.
He said despite the criticisms, his administration will not stop to do things aimed at improving the administration of justice in the state.
Wike equally noted that he has approved the appointment of more members of the customary court and employment of more staff as requested by the judiciary.
The state judiciary under the current administration has benefitted immensely from the state government. The governor recently gifted judges in the state, houses and huge sums of money.
