Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, says the Independent National Electoral Commission and Security agencies are part of the reasons most politicians fail in their task of delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
Wike disclosed this in a chat with Journalists in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
He said many politicians do not care about working for the people, because they know that they can rig elections with the electoral umpire and Security agencies.
Wike stated that if the will of the people is allowed to count during elections, politicians will have no choice other than to deliver while in office.
The Governor, also reacted to the security situation in the state, adding that his administration will continue to support security agencies.
Wike noted that the state will never be part of any secessionist movement, as he believes in the unity of Nigeria.
He also said one of the problems in the country, is the fact that government spend money on unecessary things, instead of investing heavily on things that really and truly matters.
