The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday presented Certificates of Return to the newly elected members of the Rivers State House of Assembly representing Ahoada-East II and Khana II State Constituencies.
The presentation ceremony took place at the INEC Rivers State Headquarters in Port Harcourt, where electoral officials formally handed over the certificates to the lawmakers-elect.
The Certificates of Return officially affirm the victory of the candidates in their respective constituencies and clear the way for their inauguration into the state legislature.
INEC officials at the event congratulated the members-elect and urged them to uphold the mandate of their constituents by promoting effective representation and good governance.
