PUBLIC NOTICE
The attention of the Bonny Local Government authority has been drawn to the ongoing industrial action at the Train 7 Project site of Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), which commenced on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
The government acknowledges the issues raised by the protesting workers, particularly allegations bordering on tax-related concerns, unauthorized deductions from wages, and the reported failure to issue receipts for such deductions as alleged.
To safeguard public peace, protect ongoing industrial operations, and ensure an amicable resolution of the grievances, the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, DSSRS, wishes to invite all concerned parties, workers’ unions, and relevant stakeholders to a joint meeting scheduled as follows:

Time: 11 a.m
Venue: Conference Hall, Bonny Local Government Secretariat
The following stakeholders are hereby invited to the meeting:

• Welders Association
• Fitters Association
• National Union of Civil Engineering, Construction, Furniture & Wood Workers (NUCECFWW)
• Construction and Civil Engineering Senior Staff Association (CCESSA)
• Security Agencies
• Bonny Integrated Recruitment Centre (BIRC)
• Bonny Youths Federation (BYF)
• Rivers State Internal Revenue Service (RIRS)
All invited stakeholders and at least 2 representatives of each union leadership (Chairman and Secretary only) are expected to be seated by 10:30 a.m., for the meeting.
