The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, says Nigeria will stop consuming imported Petrol by the end of 2024.
Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari who was represented by the NNPCL Chief Financial Officer, Umar Isa Ajiya disclosed this at a book launch in Abuja.
According to him, Nigerians will not be buying Petroleum product refined abroad but product refined locally
“We have moved from a loss marking corporation within six months of taking over and we have declared profit.
“We have moved the company that is focused on Upstream development to Refinery and Downstream marketing.
“The culture of selling crude outside and Importing refine will stop this year. Nigerians will not be buying Petroleum product refined abroad but product refined locally,” he said.
