The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has appointed Tony Elumelu, Founder and Group Chairman of Heirs Holdings, to its Advisory Council on Entrepreneurship and Growth. The council, convened by IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, aims to promote entrepreneurship as a key driver of economic development.
Elumelu, a leading advocate for entrepreneurship in Africa, has supported over 25,000 African entrepreneurs through his foundation since 2015.
His appointment underscores the IMF’s focus on fostering global economic transformation through innovation and business development.
