The Rivers State Government will Today, Wednesday 24 August, 2022 begin demolition of properties affected by ongoing construction in the state.
The state Ministry of Works disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement noted that the exercise will commence from 8:00am to 5:00pm daily.
The statement reads
GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Rivers State Ministry of Works wishes to inform the general public, especially property owners along Azikiwe-Iloabuchi Road, Ikwerre Road by Rumuola-Rumuokwuta Junction, and Mgbuoba-Ozuoba Road by Location Junction respectively that, demolition of properties on the right of way of these three projects will commence on Wednesday 24 August, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 AM each day until the exercise is completed.
The Ministry therefore calls on property owners to cooperate with our team to ensure that the contractor delivers the projects on schedule.
