Some youths are currently on rampage along the Iloabuchi Road in Diobu, Port Harcourt, vandalizing and hijacking properties, ahead of the dualization of the Road by the Rivers State Government.
The youths were spotted by our correspondent, removing drainage covers, street sign posts; made of metal, and wires amongst other things.
They were armed with diggers, shovels and matchets which they used in vandalizing the property.
A resident of the area in a chat with us said, the youths believe that dualization of the Road will commence Tomorrow, and that the State Government has paid for properties along the road.
The incident, has brought tension and panic in the area, as residents and motorists were seen scampering for safety.
No security official was seen close to the area as at the time of filing this report, despite the Iloabuchi Police Division situated along the road.
