The four dismissed E-crack officers alleged to have tortured an Ikokwu auto mobile mechanic, Chima Ikwunado to death, while in detention are set to appear before a High Court in Port Harcourt, Today.

The four officers are facing a seven count charge on conspiracy and murder among other charges.

The officers had earlier been arraigned before a magistrate court in July, but the court declined jurisdiction to hear the matter. It remanded the officers and ordered that their case file be transferred to the DPP for legal advice.

The officers had arrested Chima Ikwunado and four other persons claiming they were cultists. The inhumane treatment dealt on the suspects led to the death of Chima.
