Spokesperson of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Solomon Lenu has described the Ikokwu flyover bridge as a “waste of Rivers resources.”
Lenu in a statement Today said the bridge is vindictive and leads to nowhere as it was only built to chase away Igbo traders in the area.
He stated that Gov. Wike did the Igbos “dirty with the bridge” and urged people not to be deceived by the governor.
His statement reads,
Before you start celebration the Ikoku bridge bcos Peter Obi is coming to commission it, Know this truth about the bridge.
That bridge is the most vindictive & waste of Rivers resources in history.
That monument leads to nowhere, & it was solely built just to chase away Igbo traders in Ikoku area.
Now that you know, don’t allow emperor Wike trick you with his shine-shine bobo Chameleonic politics. Wike did the Igbo’s dirty with that bridge.
