The Chairman of Ahoada-West Local Government Area, Hope Ikiriko has denied reports that three of his children are on the payroll of the council.
Chairman of NULGE in Rivers State, Clifford Paul had accused the council boss of refusing to pay council workers their salaries while three of his children are receiving monthly salaries from the council.
Ikiriko who had accused Paul of blackmail in a chat with journalists few days ago said, the persons referred to although bearing the same surname, are not related to him. He said other tribes in the state bear the name and not his family alone.
