Caretaker Committee Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Chijioke Ihunwo has donated three transformers to Rumueme, Rumuekini and Rukpokwu communities of the council.
Ihunwo made this known in a statement on Wednesday.
He said, “As the chairman, caretaker committee of Obio Akpor local government area, I’m promising to make life comfortable for the people of Obio-Akpor.
To this end, I have donated three transformers to Rumueme, Rumuekini and Mgbuchi Rukpokwu communities.
While I personally distributed the transformers, I said I will go a step further by installing them in all the communities.
I said my intention is to light up all the communities in order to boost small and medium scale businesses in the LGA.
I’m also promising to kick off an empowerment scheme from next week.
I said the goal is to pull out the people of the LGA out of poverty.
I further asked the people of Obio Akpor to continue keeping faith with the administration of Governor Fubara.
