The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo has donated a sienna bus to the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Obio-Akpor Branch.
Senior Special Assistant to the chairman, Amadi Eze said Ihunwo made the donation when the leadership of NUT paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Wednesday
He said the council boss promised to address the issue of training and re-training of teachers, including sponsoring them for their annual teachers conference.
Ihunwo also promised to build a secretariat and attend to the welfare of the teachers.
