The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has directed the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Olatunji Disu to commence a thorough investigation into the killing of a Police officer and a Vigilante at Omuma LGA of the state
Force Spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi disclosed in a statement on Wednesday.
According to him, the IGP also directed the Rivers CP to heighten security measures across the state.
He noted that the IGP has deployed operatives of the Force Intelligence Response Team, IRT, to assist the Rivers State Command in apprehending the killers of the police officer and the vigilante member.
