Igo Aguma, factional Chairman of the APC in Rivers State has advised members of the party to ignore the actions of Sokonte Davis, another factional Chairman of the party. Davis has allegedly handover the chairmanship of the party of Isaac Ogbobula.
Senior Special Assistant on media to Igo Aguma, Kennedy Friday who made this known in a statement yesterday on behalf of the group, said Aguma, remains the recognized and authentic chairman of the party in the state.
He said the court ruling which brought Aguma to power was a declaratory one and cannot be stayed. In the statement, Igo Aguma advised party members to, therefore, ignore the handover ceremony.
The second faction of the APC in the state had in a ruling by the Court of Appeal obtained a stay on the ruling of the high court that declared Aguma, chairman of the party.
