Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that if it is means dying to protect a former Governor of the state, Peter Odili that the state is ready.
Wike, made the revelation at the Special Thanksgiving Service organised to celebrate the appointment of Hon. Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi as the Chief Judge of Rivers State, at St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Elibrada Parish, in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday.
He said his administration will stop at nothing to ensure the safety of the former governor and members of his family.
He stated that no politician in the state today, irrespective of party affiliation can deny the fact that he or she did not pass through the Ndoni born politician.
He said God used him to lay the foundation for them and that he made it possible for an Ikwerre man to be governor of the state, against all odds.
Wike, also said anything that affects Odili and his family members, affects the state, adding that they are indebted to him, as one good turn deserves another.
In addition, he said no one politician that supported him from 2015 will say he or she has not benefitted from him. He challenged anyone who has not benefitted to step forward.
