A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Ezebunwo Chukwuemeka Eze, has criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his alleged role in the ongoing political crises in the state.
In a statement, Eze accused Wike of undermining the democratic process by opposing Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who was elected by the people of Rivers State. He argued that if Wike were a progressive democrat, he would not be at odds with Fubara.
Eze further alleged that despite serving as governor for eight years, Wike is unwilling to allow his successor to govern independently, insisting that Fubara must operate under his control.
He also accused Wike of instigating internal crises within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to advance his personal agenda.
He said,“If Wike were to be a good man, peace-loving and a progressive democrat, he would not have been fighting Siminalaye Fubara, a man voted by the people of Rivers State.”
“If I were Fubara, the Governor of Rivers, Wike will only step into the State at his own risk.“
“As a result of selfishness and fear of the unknown, Wike a card-carrying PDP member is in deed and in action, a member of the ruling APC.”
