Former Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Ibim Seminitari, has accused former governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, of stalling development in the state by neglecting key projects.
Speaking at a symposium in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, Seminitari criticized Wike for abandoning critical educational and healthcare initiatives launched by his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi. She highlighted the alleged neglect of 13,000 teachers employed during Amaechi’s tenure.
According to Seminitari, Wike’s administration diverted attention to infrastructure projects such as flyovers and bridges while ignoring ongoing developmental programs.
Seminitari commended Amaechi for completing projects initiated by his predecessor, Celestine Omehia, despite political differences. She stressed the need for continuity in public projects, urging leaders to prioritize development over political rivalries.
