The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, retired Vice-Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, has warned that his administration will not shield traditional rulers found to be instigating unrest in the state.
Ibas issued the warning on Friday while declaring open the 121st and 122nd Combined Quarterly General Meeting of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers in Port Harcourt.
In a statement released by Juliana Masi, Head of the Press Unit in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Ibas reaffirmed his commitment to working with traditional institutions to advance development across the state.
He called on traditional rulers to take active responsibility in protecting public infrastructure within their communities, stressing their pivotal role in peacebuilding and the preservation of cultural heritage.
