The management of Ignatius Ajuri University of Education (IAUE), has suspended three students; Douobo Sowanate, Julius Isirimah and Nwiroegbu Onyebuchi for alleged involvement in cultism and rape.
Spokesperson of the institution, Ngozi Okeredu disclosed this in a statement today.
The statement noted that Dokubo Sowanate of Geography Department led members of his gang to attack Julius Isirimah of Chemistry Department, alleged to be a member of a rival cult group.
“Julius Isirimah was brought to the University Health Centre almost lifeless following an attack on him by a rival cult group led by Dokubo Sowanate,” she said.
Nwiroegbu Onyebuchi of Computer science on his part was suspended for allegedly raping a female student.
She equally confirmed that the matter has been reported to the students Disciplinary Committee for further investigation.
