Governor Nyesom Wike has appointed Prof. Okechukwu Onochukwu as the Acting Vice Chancellor the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.
Special Assistant (Media) to the State Governor, Kelvin Ebiri who disclosed this in a statement Today, said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Prof Okechukwu will takeover from Prof Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele who recently completed his tenure.
His statement reads,
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, in exercise of the powers vested in him as Visitor to the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, has approved the appointment of Professor Okechukwu Onochukwu as the Acting Vice -Chancellor of the University.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
