Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has hit back at former Rivers APC governorship candidate, Tonye Cole, over claims that he is confusing Rivers people by controlling both the APC and PDP.
Appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Wike said he would have jailed Cole during his tenure as governor for allegedly conspiring with former Transportation Minister, Chibuike Amaechi, to siphon state resources.
Wike accused Cole of using his company, Sahara Energy, as a conduit to divert funds, alleging that the duo sold the state’s gas turbine for $308 million and also disposed of the Olympia Hotel, among other assets.
He described Cole as lacking character, claiming that he betrayed Amaechi in a bid to gain his support.
