Former Rivers State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tonye Cole, has dismissed speculations of joining former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Cole made this known on Tuesday during an interview on Prime Time, an Arise Television programme, where he also declared his intention to contest the Rivers governorship election in 2027.
He acknowledged Amaechi’s role in introducing him to politics but stressed that while the former governor is pursuing his presidential ambition, his own focus remains on leading Rivers State.
“I remain in the APC and have no intention of leaving for the ADC,” Cole stated, adding that his goal is to become governor in 2027.
