The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has pledged backing for individuals who support President Bola Tinubu, urging residents to align themselves with those “the government will listen to.”
Wike made the remarks on Thursday during the flag-off of Lot 2 of the Water Supply Projects in Karu, where he also commended former FCT Senator Philip Aduda and the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Chairman, Christopher Maikalangu, for their contributions to local development.
The minister lauded Aduda for his commitment to advancing community projects and promised the construction of a 2-kilometre road at the Karu site following the former senator’s request. Wike emphasized his administration’s continued support for individuals aligned with the Tinubu-led government.
He also praised Maikalangu as “very good and hardworking,” highlighting the council chairman’s effective use of government resources to deliver multiple projects to residents. Wike further assured that his office would support any initiatives Maikalangu requested should he win re-election as AMAC chairman.
