Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has reacted to the face-off between the All Progressives Congress and the PDP in the state.
Wike, during a media chat Today said the face-off was normal, adding that the PDP was only being vigilant.
According to him, the party will defend its mandate and not allow a repeat of what happened in 2016 in the state.
“…vigilant in the sense that during the 2015 [post-election period] precisely, after the elections, after the nomination, we had problems that we never believed, and so we didn’t want a recurrence of that at the tribunal,” he said.
Wike also said he will not support his party to take over leadership of the National Assembly, as the ruling party should produce the leaders.
