Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, says he will relinquish his position as Governor of the State, if the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi names a federal project he has attracted to the state since he was made a Minister.
The governor, made this known while receiving former members of the All Progressives Congress, to the People’s Democratic Party, in Port Harcourt, on Saturday.
He accused Amaechi, of looting proceeds from the sale of Dash 8 Aircraft purchased by Dr. Peter Odili to Cross river state for $6 million.
He also said Amaechi, could not account for the money and so many others under his watch as Governor.
Wike challenged Amaechi to emulate him and attract projects to the state like he did, when he was Minister of State for Education under Goodluck Jonathan.
He also called on the Minister to revive the moribund Port Harcourt seaports, so as to create employment opportunities for the youths.
