Barely three months to the end of his second term in office, Gov. Nyesom Wike has promised to employ 10,000 Rivers youths.
The governor who recalled he is yet to fulfil his earlier promise to provide 5,000 direct employments for Rivers youths says he will now double it and make it 10,000 before leaving office. He made this known in Igwuruta at the commissioning of OMPADEC Road today.
In October last year, some people were employed in teaching and non-teaching roles in some tertiary institutions in Rivers State, an exercise some respondents said was marred by irregularities and designed to only favour applicants from Ikwerre extraction.
