Embattled governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State, Arc. Tonye Patrick Cole has reacted to Tuesday’s Federal High court ruling which nullified primaries of the party in the state.

In a media broadcast Today, Cole reassured his supporters not to panic, as there is no cause for alarm.

“There should be no case, because the people who filed the case were not members of APC at the time they filed it, and they are not members today,” he said.

“I believe in our judiciary system, Justice will prevail. We are still on the ballot, and will be on the ballot in 2023. Be rest assured, I will be your Governor, come May 2023, by God’s grace” he added.

Recall that on Tuesday, a federal high court sitting in Port Harcourt granted reliefs sought by Gift Orlu and four others in Suit No: FHC/PH/CS/87/2022 where the plaintiffs alleged exclusion from the ward congresses.

The presiding judge, Hon. Justice. E. A Obile agreed with him and nullified all primaries of the party.
