Former Senator, representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Magnus Abe has advised Rivers Youths to take advantage of opportunities abound to better themselves and the state.
Abe, made this known during an interactive session with Rivers Youths and Young Professionals in Port Harcourt, Today.
According to him, if you want to prosper, you must be prepared to work hard and seize opportunities. However, he said the society then supported hard work and that it is not so, today.
He pointed out that he was the first lawyer in the state to have a cell phone and, was also the first to drive a Mercedes Benz, because he was hardworking and took advantage of opportunities.
He also said said during his early days as a young lawyer, he borrowed wigs and gowns to attend court sessions, which did not deter him from succeeding.
Abe, added that he is committed to preparing youths to seize available opportunities, and improve their lives and the state in general.
Abe, who also reacted to a question from our correspondent over the claims by Governor, Nyesom Wike that he stole funds meant for the construction of a road in Ogoni land, noted that Wike is his friend who was only playing politics as at the time, which was Campaign season.
