Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has said that he was once poisoned at the Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party.

Wike, said this during a Family Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, June 18, at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Port Harcourt.

He said after the incident his doctors told him that his kidney, liver and other internal organs were gone.

According to him, it was God who saved him, adding that a week after he was informed, his systems were back to normal.

“I was poisoned at the PDP secretariat and afterwards told by doctors in Beirut that my kidney; liver, and other internal organs were gone. It was God who saved me, because a week after I was informed, my systems were back to normal,” he said.
