Asari Dokubo has revealed that he spent over $2 million to support the election of President, Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking, when he appeared as a guest on Arise News, Asari said he supported the President and expected nothing in return.
According to him, Tinubu came to his rescue when then President, Olusegun Obasanjo wanted to kill him, noting that he would have been dead if not for the likes of Tinubu.
However, he said the gesture would not stop him from criticizing the President, whom he said has failed the Niger Delta region.
“I met President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and he asked me, ‘Are you interested in the pipeline?’ I told him I’m not interested in the pipelines contract; I never said it was personal gain I was looking for.”
“I spent over $2, million dollars to support Tinubu’s presidential campaign and I didn’t ask him for any reward, my issues with him started when he joined Wike against Gov, Fubara,” he said.
