Hon. Chidi Lloyd says he remains the Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Council, despite the directive by the State Governor, Sim Fubara for Heads of Administration to take charge of their respective councils.
Lloyd in a statement called on anyone who wants to deal with the council to come to him as he is still in charge.
He stated that the governor was ill-advised on his directive to Heads of Administration, adding that the Martin Amaewhule-led Assembly had outlawed the use of caretaker committee.
According to him, the court only halted the extension of the tenure of council chairmen and did not overturn the prohibition of the use of caretakers.
Lloyd added that the governor do not have the power to direct heads of councils to takeover according to the new law.
