Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says he never said Dr. Abiye Sekibo killed some prominent Rivers sons but, only asked him to tell Rivers people who killed them.

Wike, during a media chat in Port Harcourt Today, said a Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by the previous administration indicted Sekibo as the sponsor of cultism in the state.

He said they know “who is who” in the state and that Abiye’s grievance is the fact that he was not made the flagbearer of the PDP.

Wike, revealed that Sekibo wanted him(the governor) to make him the flagbearer of the party but, he refused because Abiye is not sellable and cannot win elections.

Wike, explained that the man who wrote a petition when Sekibo was about to be appointed a minister was shot dead the next day insisting that he should explain to Rivers people who killed the man.

He also said claim by Sekibo that he sent assassins to kill him is false, and wondered why he should send thugs to kill Abiye who is not even a threat to him, as the both of them are not contesting the forthcoming election.

The governor revealed that Abiye and his team came up with the attacks as excuse for them not to campaign in the state because they know they lack the capacity to stage the rally.

He alleged that Sekibo told someone that he was happy when he(Wike) revoked the use of the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium as they were not ready for the Campaign.

Wike, noted that Sekibo and his men would have gone to explain to Atiku that they do not have the capacity to fill the stadium instead of making unnecessary excuses.
