Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has expressed optimism that Nigeria’s presidency will eventually rotate to the Southeast, stressing that the region must strategically re-engage in national politics.
Umahi made the remarks on Saturday when he received the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, and his delegation in Ebonyi State during an inspection of federal projects.
The former Ebonyi governor cautioned that the presidency could not be attained through sentiment, but through alliances and support across other regions.
“We have to support other regions, and at the time of God, nobody will stop it,” Umahi said.
Speaking in a lighter tone, he added: “And who knows, maybe at that time it will be me.”
