President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says his administration inherited a near-collapsed economy but remains committed to nation-building and restoring Nigeria’s economic strength.
Speaking during his Independence Day broadcast on Wednesday, Tinubu noted that despite challenges, Nigeria has made significant progress in economic growth and development since gaining independence in 1960.
He urged Nigerians to celebrate the country’s achievements, pointing out that education and healthcare are better than they were in the past.
The President said his administration chose the “discomfort of today” in order to guarantee the “comfort of tomorrow,” stressing that ongoing reforms are necessary for long-term stability.
Tinubu further highlighted strides in infrastructure, healthcare, and social investment, assuring citizens that his government is determined to build a stronger, more prosperous nation.
