Former Ikwerre Council Chairman, Hon. Samuel Nwanosike says he has forfeited his hotel that was sealed by the Rivers State Ministry of Urban and Regional Planning to the Ministry and Gov. Sim Fubara after he was allegedly asked to pay a fine of N555M.
Nwanosike, made this known in a now trending video when he confronted officials of the Ministry during the sealing of the building.
He agreed to have gone against the approval by the Ministry and alleged that he was asked to pay a fine of N555 Million naira, describing it as unacceptable.
Meanwhile the state government says the building was sealed for unauthorized expansion. However, it is yet to react to Nwanosike’s claim.
