The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Jarret Tenebe, has openly declared his dislike for Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, stating that many people in the state share similar sentiments.
Tenebe made the remarks in a statement issued in response to the controversy surrounding Governor Monday Okpebholo’s alleged warning to Obi over his recent visit to Edo.
“Peter Obi can’t come to Edo without the permission of Governor Okpebholo because of the kind of hatred people have for him in the state, including me. Many of us have hatred for him,” Tenebe stated.
His comments come amid rising political tensions in the state ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
