Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has reacted to the statement credited to Governor Nyesom Wike that the proposed Bonny Seaport and railway line are mere antics to deceive Rivers People.
Amaechi during a live TV interview today, berated Wike over the comment, stating that his comment was careless and not based on facts.
The Minister, who stated that the general election the governor was referring to is still two years away, urged Wike to speak with facts as millions of Nigerians rely on such statements.
Amaechi said, before he became Governor, he was taught that Governors do not speak carelessly, and that they speak with facts and figures.
” I am not garrulous in that nature. I speak intelligently knowing that when I speak it matters. I don’t drink alcohol so I don’t speak out of my sense,” he said
“Election is coming in 2023 and we are just in 2021. We still have 2 years,” he added.
